Helping purpose-driven founders do more memorable pitches using the brain science of how people remember
Hi, I’m Brenda. I am a retired lawyer whose mission is to help purpose-driven founders craft pitches that are clear, engaging, and unforgettable so they stand out to potential investors. Using proven brain science principles, I guide clients to captivate audiences, present with confidence, and ensure their ideas are remembered long after the pitch ends. In addition to helping with a pitch, I help my clients respond concisely and accurately to questions. As a former transactional lawyer, I know what it is like to lose an audience in all the details! My work is based on my own experience of over 30 years of public speaking, as a Toastmaster since 2001, and my in-depth review of brain science research on how people remember.
I have helped founders do live pitches with questions and answers, as well as shorter pitch videos. After observing their pitches, I provided feedback on what they were doing well and how they could make their pitches even more memorable, focusing on confidence, organization, using stories, and creating slides that enhance rather than distract from their pitch. For those doing live pitches with Q&A, I provided a strategic approach to answering questions and allowed them to practice responding to questions that investors would be likely to ask. One founder I helped won a competition and was congratulated on delivering an inspiring pitch and giving outstanding answers in the Q&A. Another founder developed the confidence to do her pitch herself and won funding to work with a startup coach for 6 months.
In addition to helping founders directly, I have acted as a judge for pitch contests.
