How Strong Is Your
Leadership Pipeline?

Weak management doesn't announce itself — it shows up in attrition, stalled performance, and teams that underdeliver. This diagnostic measures leadership readiness across four critical domains and estimates what the gaps are costing.

Eight questions across four domains. Rate each 1 (weak) to 5 (strong).

Be candid. The gap between where your managers are and where they need to be is exactly what this program is designed to close — but only if the assessment is honest.

Domain 1 — Feedback & Performance Conversations
01
How consistently do your managers deliver clear, timely, and actionable feedback?
Not annual reviews — regular, real-time coaching conversations that actually change behaviour
02
How comfortable are your managers having difficult performance conversations?
Addressing underperformance directly — not avoiding it until it becomes a formal process
Domain 2 — Delegation & Team Development
03
How effectively do your managers delegate — matching tasks to the right people and developing capability in the process?
Not just offloading work — intentional assignment that builds the person, not just gets the task done
04
How well do your managers identify and actively develop high-potential team members?
Building a bench — not just managing the present but growing future capability
Domain 3 — Psychological Safety & Inclusion
05
How well do your managers create environments where people feel safe to speak up, disagree, and take risks?
Google's Project Aristotle identified this as the single biggest driver of team performance
06
How consistently do your managers recognize and leverage different working styles and strengths on their teams?
Inclusion beyond hiring — active use of diverse perspectives in decision-making and problem-solving
Domain 4 — Strategic Thinking & Organizational Alignment
07
How clearly can your managers articulate how their team's work connects to organizational strategy?
Not reciting goals — genuinely helping their teams understand why the work matters and how it fits
08
How well do your managers navigate change, communicate decisions, and maintain team stability during uncertainty?
The ability to lead through ambiguity — keeping teams productive when direction is unclear

Methodology: Cost estimates based on Gallup research showing managers account for 70% of variance in employee engagement, and McKinsey findings that poor management costs organizations 7–20% of annual payroll in lost productivity and attrition. Domain scoring uses an 8-question, 5-point scale (max 40 points). Productivity loss multiplier scales from 7% (strong) to 20% (at risk) of affected payroll. Cost model: Manager Count × Avg Team Size × Avg Salary × Productivity Loss %. Results are directional estimates.

Leadership Readiness and Management Gap Methodology

This diagnostic helps organizations assess the strength of their management layer across four leadership domains: feedback and performance conversations, delegation and team development, psychological safety and inclusion, and strategic alignment.

The cost estimate is directional and uses the user's inputs to show how leadership gaps can affect productivity, retention, team performance, and organizational execution.
