Nineteen years of progressive management experience in the functional areas of Human Resources, Safety and Operations. Twelve years of experience leading teams as large as 75 direct reports. Broad based skills and experience in employee engagement, employee experience, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development and legal HR matters. Single and multi-site experience across seven Provinces and five States in manufacturing, agriculture and transportation industries in both union and non-union environments. Effectively partner with centers of excellence (COE’s) in the delivery of efficient and effective HR services. Led two overseas foreign recruitment campaigns, Canadian immigration experience with two past employers with 30+ successful hires.
In-depth knowledge and experience in safety regulatory compliance, safety culture shift, root cause analysis and safety auditing. Experience with catastrophic accidents, site safety security, right to refuse and bona fide occupational requirements from a health/safety perspective. Chaired two JHSC’s in the past. Properly align HR and Occupational Health/Safety functions to positively impact bottom line financial results.
