Description

As best practices, HR audits shall be done by external experienced consultant with a fresh eye to review the HR function within the company. This audit identifies areas for improvement and provides actionable recommendations to align HR practices with your business goals and mitigate risks. The HR audit helps optimize your HR function to enhance operational efficiency and ultimately supporting your company’s overall performance and strategic objectives.

SCOPE:

  • Consultant will review internal HR processes, policies and systems.
  • Consultant will develop prepare a feedback report with all recommendations.
  • Consultant will discuss findings and cost-saving areas with the client.

Key Areas for Audit (Can differ based on type of business)

Compliance:

  • Adherence to labour laws and regulations (e.g. ADA, OSHA)
  • Verification of proper documentation (e.g, employee records)
  • Review of workplace safety and health standard

HR Policies and Procedures:

  • Consistency and relevance of HR policies and procedures
  • Communication and accessibility of policies to employees

Recruitment and Selection:

  • Effectiveness and fairness of recruitment processes
  • Job descriptions and specifications accuracy
  • Onboarding and orientation procedures

Training and Development:

  • Availability and effectiveness of training programs

Performance Management:

  • Performance evaluation processes and criteria
  • Feedback and appraisal systems
  • Handling of promotions, demotions, and disciplinary actions

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Fairness and competitiveness of compensation structures
  • Compliance with wage and hour laws

HR Information Systems (HRIS):

Workplace Diversity and Inclusion:

  • Diversity and inclusion policies and initiatives
  • Equal employment opportunity compliance

Strategic Alignment:

  • Compliance with health and safety regulations

DELIVERABLES/OUTPUTS:

  • Report in MS Word and PDF format.

TIMING:

  • This work typically requires 6-8 weeks to complete. A specific timeframe for execution will be agreed between Client and Consultant after purchase.

ASSUMPTIONS

  • Includes up to 4 rounds of revisions based on Client feedback
  • Client will provide constructive feedback and guidance in reviews
  • Client will review & accept Deliverables within 30 days of final submission
  • Client will provide relevant source materials & data, licensed, company and brand assets & guidelines, etc.
  • Out-of-scope or additional requests will require a separate Engagement
